PUPPY HEALTH PROTOCOL
At Von Godwinhaus Kennels, we take the health and well-being of every puppy seriously. Our puppies receive a structured health-care program from birth through the time they leave our kennel for their new families.
Vaccinations
Puppies receive age-appropriate vaccinations at:
- 4 weeks of age
- 6 weeks of age
- 9 weeks of age
All vaccinations are documented in each puppy's health record.
Microchipping
All puppies are microchipped at 7 weeks of age. Microchipping provides permanent identification and helps protect your puppy should they ever become lost.
Parasite Prevention
Puppies receive weekly parasite prevention as part of our health protocol. This program helps protect puppies against common internal and external parasites during their early development.
AKC Registration
Each puppy's AKC registration papers are included in the puppy packet provided to the new owner. Registration information and applicable paperwork will be provided according to the puppy's individual registration status.

Every puppy goes home with a puppy packet containing important information and documentation, including:
- AKC registration papers
- Vaccination records
- Microchip information
- Parasite-prevention records
- Puppy-care information
- Feeding and transition recommendations
- Recommended supplements
Recommended Supplements
We provide information regarding suggested NuVet supplements as part of our puppy-care recommendations. These supplements are intended to support overall nutritional wellness as your puppy continues growing and developing.
Owners should discuss any supplements with their veterinarian, particularly if their puppy has specific dietary or health needs.
Continued Veterinary Care
Once your puppy goes home, we recommend establishing a relationship with a veterinarian and continuing the puppy's vaccination, parasite-prevention, nutrition, and routine wellness schedule.
